(Rochester, NY)... Rochester continued the Fourth of July celebrations with a win over the second place Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday night. Rochester who trailed 1-0 at the half, came back with three goals of their own to get their second win of the season against Vancouver. Rhinos midfielder Ze Roberto was the offensive hero supplying two of Rochester three goals on the night.

Rhinos (W) Lose in Toronto

(Toronto, ONT)... The Rochester Rhinos (W) fell to the Toronto Lady Lynx on Saturday by a score of 8-0. Brittany Bisnott and Stefania Morra each tallied a hat-trick for the Lady Lynx. Morra recorded all three of her markers in the first half while Bisnott found the net twice in the first 45 minutes and the third coming in the 66th minute of play.

Brooke McCalla added a goal and two assists while Nicole Markowcz closed out the scoring in the 87th minute making the score 8-0. With the loss the Rhinos (W) fall to 4-3-1 in 2008. They will return home to PAETEC...

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Rhinos will return home to PAETEC Park to battle the Vancouver Whitecaps in USL play on Saturday night. Rhinos Open Cup Hopes End in D.C.

(Gaithersburg, MD)... The Rochester Rhinos U.S. Open Cup championship hopes came to an end on Tuesday night when they fell to D.C. United by a final score of 2-0. Mark Burch tallied both United goals off free kicks, the first in the 79th minute and the second coming just six minutes later.

The Rhinos played the home side pretty evenly for most of the match. D.C. had a couple of quality scoring chances turned aside by Scott Vallow, the first coming in the 12th minute by Rod Dychenko and the second coming off the foot of Francis Doe in the 27th minute of play.

Kinmonds Three Goals Lift Rhinos

The Rochester Rhinos (W) defeated the Vermont Lady Voltage on Saturday night by a 3-0 score. Goalkeeper Joy McKenzie stopped every shot en route to her second clean sheet of the season.

The offensive heroics for the Rhinos were provided by Brittany Kinmond who tallied all three goals, registering her first career hat-trick for the Rhinos (W). With the win Rochester improves to 4-2-1 on the season and will face the Western Mass Lady Pioneers on Sunday at Lusitano Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.

(London, ONT)... The Rochester Rhinos (W) rebounded from a tough loss on Saturday night to record a 0-0 tie north of the border against the London Gryphons. Joy McKenzie tallied her second shutout of the season for Rochester (3-2-1) to pull within three points of the Hamilton Avalanche in the W-League's Northern Division.

Rhinos (W) Add Zimny to Roster

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Rhinos (W) announced that they have added former Rush-Henrietta and Section V soccer standout Casey Zimny to their roster. Zimny, who played for Rochester in two matches during the 2006 season made her Rhino debut on Saturday against the Ottawa Fury.

Zimny teamed up with Mia Hamm and Abby Wambach to help lead the Washington Freedom to the WUSA Championship in 2003.
