The Rochester Rhinos will be hosting the Dutch Lions in Sahlen’s Stadium on Friday, May 18th at 7:35PM. The Rhinos have not conceded a goal all season, and they enter the match with a 6-0 record for only the second time since 1998. Goalkeeper Kristian Nicht has opened the season with a 6-0-0 record, a 0.00 goals against average, and six clean sheets. Nicht leads USL PRO in wins, goals against average, clean sheets and saves (29). The Rochester Rhinos leading scorer is second year winger JC Banks, who has seven points after starting the season with two goals and three assists.
Friday, May 18th will be the City of Rochester’s Public Safety Night at Sahlen’s Stadium. A Rochester Fire Department truck and a Rochester Police Department squad car will be at Gate D to greet Rhinos fans as they enter the stadium. A RPD EFT (SWAT) vehicle will be on display in the open end zone underneath the score board. RPD, RFD, and local Emergency Medical Services will also have information tables located on the concourse throughout the match.
Gates will open at 6PM for Friday night’s match. $1 drafts and $1 hot dogs will be available in the party zone underneath the score board in the open end zone from 6PM until kickoff at 7:30PM.
The Rochester Rhinos will be giving away thunder sticks, sponsored by ServiceMaster by ASAP, at the gates, and 2012 team photos, sponsored by Conolly Printing, will also be available for any Rhinos fans who missed out on the photo giveaway at the home opener.
Friday, May 18th will also be RDYSL’s opening night at Sahlen’s Stadium. This season the Rochester Rhinos teamed up with Bill Gray’s, New York West, RDYSL, and Umbro to provide RDYSL youth soccer players with a Pro Pass - a free youth season ticket to every match this season. The Rhinos will be joining RDYSL in kicking off their 2012 season by inviting everyone to use their Pro Pass at the match on Friday, May 18th. Friends and family members can purchase additional tickets to accompany a Pro Pass carrying youth soccer player by calling 454.KICK.
