“SALUTE TO WOMEN’S SOCCER CLINIC”
FRIDAY, APRIL 22 AT SAHLEN’S STADIUM

(Rochester, NY)… The Western New York Flash and Excellus BlueCross BlueShield have teamed up to offer 250 female soccer players ages 8 to 18 the opportunity to watch a Flash practice, participate in interactive training followed by a full team autograph session on Friday, April 22 at Sahlen’s Stadium from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
The entire 2011 Western New York Flash team will be participating in the “Salute to Women’s Soccer Clinic” including the first appearance of five time FIFA world player of the year Marta!
The clinic is open to the public and to reserve your spot send your name, address, phone number and age to Shara Chisholm of the Rochester Rhinos at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In addition to the Salute to Women’s soccer clinic, Excellus BlueCross BlueShield in partnership with the Western New York Flash announce that a donation of $1.00 per fan in attendance for the Sunday, May 1st home opener will be donated to the organization Women Helping Girls (up to $5,000). Women Helping Girls is a non-profit organization linking girls in grades 6-12 with mentors from the local business community.
About the WNY Flash The WNY Flash joined Women’s Professional Soccer as an expansion club in September of 2010, directly following the clubs decisive W-League Championship as the Buffalo Flash in July of 2010. The Flash will play all WPS home games at Sahlen’s Stadium in Rochester NY, home to the Rochester Rhinos. The Flash will train out of owner Joe Sahlen’s indoor soccer facility, Sahlen Sports Park, in Elma, NY. The Flash colors are Red, Yellow, and Black, to match the Sahlen entities: Sahlen Packing Co., Sahlen Sports Park, and Team Sahlen racing team. The Flash opens their season away at Boston on April 17 at 6:00 PM live on Fox Soccer Channel
