Rochester Rhinos
In his second year with the club Tanke started nine matches and appeared in seven more as a substitute. He s scored his only professional goal to date in the Rhinos 2:1 loss to the City Islanders in Harrisubrg on June 15, 2012. He added one assist and two shots on goal. Tanke committed 16 fouls, was booked twice, and was sent off in the Rhinos regular season finale against Pittsburgh on August 18, 2012.
Tanke signed with Rochester in March 2011. As a rookie he played in 13 USL PRO regular season matches and made nine starts. He recorded one assist for one point in 614 minutes as a center midfled. Tanke was a key member of the Rhinos midfield in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. He started all three matches and logged 269 out of a possible 270 minutes in the competition. Tanke’s 2011 season was cut short by a metatarsal injury causing him to miss the end of the 2011 USL PRO regular season and the USL PRO playoffs.
College
University of Rhode Island: Tanke was one of only five players to start in all 18 games his senior year. Overall he appeared in 65 games for the Rams during his collegiate career.
