Rochester Rhinos
Danny Earls returned to the Rhinos on April 3rd, 2012. He played in all 24 regualr season matches and made 23 starts while logging 2,070 minutes. Earls joined captain Troy Roberts and goalkeeper Kristian Nicht as the only three players to log over 2,000 minutes last season. Earls had two goals and three assists for seven points while he led the team in shots with 31. He committed 24 fouls and was booked three times.
Earls played fifty-three times in all competitions for the Rhinos during his first stint with the club from 2008 to 2009. He made fifty starts and played 4.083 minutes over his two seasons in Rochester. He tallied one goal and five assists for seven points. He was brought to Rochester by former manager Darren Tilley and his assistant Steve Guppy in June 2008. He made his American debut in the First Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup against RWB Adria (USASA) on June 10th. Earls highlights from his first season in Rochester included being named the USL-1 Player of the Week on July 29,2008.
Professional
MLS: In February 2010 Earls moved into Major League Soccer with the Colorado Rapids. He made twenty-two appearances for the club over the past two seasons. He won the 2010 MLS Eastern Conference Championship and the 2010 MLS Cup – the first two honors of his professional career – in his first season with the Rapids.
After one season in Colorado, Earls was traded to the Seattle Sounders on November 22, 2010. Earls was waived by Seattle on Mach 1st, 2011. He returned to Colorado and signed with the Rapids on March 30, 2011.
England: Earls joined Aston Villa (EPL) before the 2005 season. He never appeared in the first team but played win the reserve team until 2008.
