In 2012, Fernandez first year with the club saw him become the team's starting right back three matches into the season. He went on to make 17 starts and log 1,401 minutes for Rochester last season. Fernandez committed 16 fouls and was booked twice. He took 5 shots on goal.
Professional
Argentina: Fernandez joined the storied Argentinos Juniors Academy at the age of ten in 1988. Argentinos Juniors Academy has produced such soccer talents as Diego Maradona, Fernando Redondo, and Juan Roman Riquelme. He played and developed in the Academy until he signed a professional contract with the club in 2007. He played in the Argentinos Juniors Reserves from 2007 to 2009 before making his professional debut with the First Team in 2010. The Argentinos Juniors won the Clausura Championship in 2010.
Bolivia: Fernandez moved to Jorge Wilstermann for the 2011 season and got the opportunity to play in the Copa Libertadores, South America’s version of the UEFA Champions’ League. Fernandez played against traditional South American powers International (Brazil), Jaguares (Mexico), and Emelec (Ecuador).
